When we go through terrible times, our instinct is to ask: “Why me?”
Many years ago, I discovered this is the wrong question.
Why not you? If it happens to human beings, then it could happen to all human beings. All of us deserve good things. None of us should suffer.
“Why me?” indicates there are people who should suffer. Just not people like you.
Not “Why me?” therefore. “Why us?”
We are all in this together.
